Grow a business
Business Growth & Scale
Many of the strongest opportunities already sit inside operating businesses. We diagnose the barrier holding back commercial performance and implement the intervention that lifts it.
Where we intervene
Fourteen practical growth levers
We do not deliver generic business support. We identify which of these is actually binding and work on that.
- New markets
- New customers
- Sales
- Distribution
- Exports
- Procurement
- Finance
- Operational systems
- Partnerships
- Acquisitions
- Technology
- Management
- Commercial strategy
- Production capacity

Five questions we answer with the owner before proposing any work. The output is a written diagnosis and a costed intervention plan.
- Question 1
Where does revenue actually come from today?
Concentration risk and real margin.
- Question 2
What is the binding constraint on more sales?
Demand, capacity, capital or capability.
- Question 3
Can the business deliver more without breaking?
Operational headroom.
- Question 4
Are the numbers good enough for a lender or buyer?
Bankability and contract eligibility.
- Question 5
Who else must be involved to grow?
Partners, distributors, financiers.
Markets
We build into markets
Growth is a market question before it is a capital question. The ultimate commercial validation is whether somebody will pay.
- Finding customers
- Finding buyers
- Finding suppliers
- Building distribution
- Establishing pricing
- Negotiating supply
- Developing export markets
- Identifying unmet demand
- Matching products to demand
Commercial response team
The team is assembled around the case
When a serious opportunity or business challenge enters ICSE Zimbabwe, we assemble the expertise the case actually requires. The team exists around the transaction, not around a department.
- Commercial strategist
- Accountant
- Lawyer
- Engineer
- Banker
- Investor
- Sector expert
- Marketer
- Technology specialist
- Operations specialist
Specialists are not all employees. Depending on the case they are ICSE Zimbabwe staff, members, contracted professionals or strategic partners, engaged under terms appropriate to the work.
How we participate
Co-investment and co-building, where it is appropriate
Where commercially appropriate and lawful, ICSE Zimbabwe may participate in the businesses and projects it builds. Participation is negotiated case by case and is never automatic.
Possible structures
- Development fees
- Management contracts
- Success-based economics where lawful
- Joint ventures
- Special purpose vehicles
- Strategic equity participation
Each structure depends on
- Contribution
